~upd~ — Browser.cache.memory.capacity
When you navigate the web, Firefox stores data in two places: your hard drive (disk cache) and your RAM (memory cache).Reading data from RAM is exponentially faster than reading it from a solid-state drive (SSD) or a mechanical hard drive (HDD).
In about:cache or dev tools, show: Memory cache: 48 MB / 96 MB (limit set by Dynamic Governor)
Disables memory caching entirely. Not recommended unless troubleshooting major leaks. Fixed Size
A: Kilobytes (KB). To convert megabytes to kilobytes, multiply by 1024 (e.g., 64 MB = 65,536 KB). To convert gigabytes to kilobytes, multiply by 1,048,576.

When you load a webpage, Firefox doesn't just render it and forget it. It intelligently predicts which resources you might need next—preloading linked scripts, next-page images, or CSS for hover states. These predicted resources live in the memory cache.
Reduce the value gradually until you find a balance between performance and memory consumption. Start with half your current setting and monitor the results.
