The story begins with Professor Juzo Kabuto, a brilliant scientist who, during an expedition on Mount Fuji, discovered a powerful new element he named "Japanium". Using this discovery, he forged a fictional super-metal called "Super-Alloy Z" (Chōgokin Zetto) to build a colossal battle robot.
