A banner should appear at the top of the display notifying you that a new software update is available.

Updating firmware is high-risk. A bad update can "brick" your device. To prevent this, follow these best practices:

Perform a physical 30-second hardware pinhole reset on the back panel.

Fixes for vulnerabilities that could compromise your system.

Faster boot times and improved operational efficiency.

: If it's a software feature (like for FactoryTalk), run the Setup.exe file included in the downloaded .zip and reboot your computer once completed.

: For hardware without a network connection, copy the firmware file to the root directory of a FAT32-formatted USB drive, plug it into the device, and trigger the update via the device menu.

Turn off your device. Hold the Volume Down (or designated boot key) and connect it via USB cable to the PC.
