I review approximately 120-150 slides per day (99% Dermpath). The digital slides are of a SUPERIOR RESOLUTION and the scanning time is also short. Primary punch and shave biopsies, are scanned in ~1 minute each. Excision sections (larger tissue) scan at about 2 minutes per slide. On average, we can scan 6 sets of slides in 8-10 minutes. I have worked on a number of Digital Pathology platforms, the MorphoLens scans are by far the best I have worked with from a resolution and quality perspective.

Scanning Modes

Live Microscopy Mode for Rapid on-site evaluation
#1 - Live Microscopy mode with continuous Z-stack
Uses dual objective switching system where

4X objective does an initial whole slide scan and serves as a navigation map
Setup VAG K CAN COMMANDER 1.4.rar
40X objective is used to fetch real-time images as the remote user navigates across 4X preview scan
Offers 2 focusing modes
Setup VAG K CAN COMMANDER 1.4.rar
Continuous Focus for Tissue section slides (recommended for Frozen Section remote reporting)
Setup VAG K CAN COMMANDER 1.4.rar
Continuous Z-stack for Cytology smear slides (recommended for any slide with overlapping cells)
Live microscopy is preferred over other modes where one needs the ability to start the diagnosis immediately after slide preparation
Whole Slide Imaging WSI with AI enabled tools
#2 - Whole Slide Imaging (WSI)

The classical scanning mode where the variation of a focal plane if any is pre-calculated with a focus map and later the motorized XY stage captures optimally focused images by translating across the region of the scanning.

Uses single 40X or 20X objective combined with a secondary overhead camera for capturing preview (thumbnail) of the full slide including the barcode area.

Whole slide imaging is preferred over other modes when exhaustive image capture is needed for deferred access.

Volume Scanning Mode for telecytology
#3 - Volume Scanning

An all powerful scanning mode where multiple images covering all focal planes are captured at every field. The end result is essentially a whole slide scan mixed with pre-captured Z-stack at every position.

Similar to WSI mode, Volume scanning uses a single 40X or 20X objective combined with a secondary overhead camera for capturing preview (thumbnail) of the full slide including the barcode area.

Volume scanning is preferred over WSI when exhaustive image capture is needed for slides with overlapping cells such as Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy slides, Pap smear slides etc.

To prevent data corruption, always connect your hardware components in the correct chronological order before launching the program interface.

Successfully setting up VAG K+CAN Commander 1.4 is an achievement that opens up a new level of diagnostic and programming capability for your VAG vehicle. By carefully following this guide—especially the COM port configuration—you can unlock the full potential of this advanced automotive tool.

Later versions (1.5, 2.5) introduced "security" features that locked out cheap cables and prevented mileage changes. Version 1.4 has no such restrictions, making it a favorite among used car dealers, locksmiths, and DIY enthusiasts. But beware: It is also the most common vector for malware. Click on to test the connection. If successful, you will see the ECU identification data. Troubleshooting Common Issues

The is a versatile diagnostic cable designed for Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, and Seat (VAG group) vehicles. It allows users to perform tasks beyond basic diagnostics, such as reading PIN codes, changing odometer readings, programming keys, and reading/writing EEPROM on various ECUs.

With everything set up, let's test a live connection. After successfully installing the software, you're ready to

Plug the 16-pin OBD-II connector into your car's port.

Note: Ensure you do not run the software directly from inside the zipped file. Step 2: Install USB Drivers Proper driver installation is the most critical step. Plug the VAG K+CAN Commander 1.4 cable into a USB port. Open (right-click Start > Device Manager).

FTDI USB Drivers (Crucial files that allow your computer to talk to the diagnostic cable)

Modern Windows versions enforce driver signatures. Restart your computer in "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" mode, then reinstall the FTDI drivers. Successfully setting up VAG K+CAN Commander 1

In this thread, we will cover how to properly extract the .rar , install the necessary drivers, and configure the software to communicate with your control modules. Let’s get your diagnostics up and running!

Once the drivers are installed, configure the virtual COM port to communicate with the software.

The software is hardcoded to look for hardware on specific communication channels. If Windows assigns your USB cable to a high COM port number, the software will fail to find it.
